The Cytof Facility is partially dependent on user fees. However, we aim to keep the user fees to a minimum to promote the use of the facility and help researchers.
The present model allows PIs to purchase an instrument and then place it inside the facility where we will maximize its use and collect user fees to cover future service contracts and repairs. This model enables multiple instruments to be accessible to all researchers at UBC and for all instruments to be well maintained.

Users will be invoiced on a quarterly basis for all use of the CyTOF and Hyperion.

CyTOF and Hyperion
Due to the complexity of CyTOF experiments, with regards to time and workload required, a standard fee structure is applied to running the instrument. Additional costs include sample prep and analysis with each experiment being assessed on an individual basis. Any discounts or caps can be discussed on a a case by case basis, based on the CyTOF facility annual financial target. Invoices are issued on a quarterly basis.
